About Us

Is it safe to shrink wrap patio furniture?

Yes! Teak, wicker, metal and other types of outdoor furniture are safe to shrink wrap as long as the furniture can breathe. While many companies put the shrink wrap on the ground, pile the furniture on top of it, and then fully enclose the wrap, we do not. Our method allows the furniture to breathe underneath, which prevents mold and mildew from forming.

Do I need to be home when you come by to shrink wrap?

No, we don't need you to be home when we come by to shrink wrap; we'll discuss the work beforehand so that we are ready to go. If you're a new customer, we ask that you are available for a phone call while we are on site in case we have any questions. If you'd prefer to be home, please let us know and we can schedule a mutually convenient time.

Can you put my cushions in the bundle with my patio furniture?

We do not recommend putting cushions inside the wrap as they can easily hold moisture. We can put them inside the wrap if you'd like, but if we do so you'll forfeit our guarantee.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry liability insurance and are happy to provide you with a certificate of insurance upon request.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes, we guarantee that your patio furniture will not become dirty from mold or mildew over the winter. If the wrap fails because of an error on our part, we will come back during the winter to fix it for no additional charge. If there is a problem with the wrap that is not caused by an error on our part (i.e. branch falls and punctures the wrap) we can certainly come and repair it, but there may be an additional charge.

How often do your customers have problems over the winter?

In 2023, 1% of our customers has issues over the winter (that we are aware of). One customer's dog chewed a hole in the side of their shrink wrapped outdoor kitchen (that was a first) and another customer had a 3 inch slit form in their wrap. Although neither issue was due to our workmanship, we patched both up at no charge while we were in the area.

Do you come back in the Spring to remove the shrink wrap?

We typically don't come back in the Spring to remove the wrap and rearrange your furniture, although we can for an additional charge. The shrink wrap is easy to remove with a pair of scissors.

How much does shrink wrapping cost?

Boats start at $17/ft, which includes vents and a moisture absorber. Patio furniture, outdoor kitchens and other items are priced on a job by job basis. You can learn how to request a quote here. Most of our jobs cost between $200 and $400. â€‹

What payments do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Zelle or credit card and will email you an invoice once the work is completed. Zelle is our preferred payment method. If you'd like to pay with cash, payment is due when the work is completed. We cannot return to a job to receive a cash payment at a later date.

What areas do you service?

The majority of our jobs are in Eastern Suffolk County, the Hamptons, and NYC. We will travel to other locations for larger jobs. If you aren't close by and the travel time will significantly increase the cost of the job, we'll be sure to let you know.

Our Biodegradable Shrink Wrap

Will this shrink wrap start to biodegrade while it's supposed to protecting my property?

No, the bioaqualife™ shrink wrap film that we use has the same shelf life as traditional shrink wrap while it is stored and in use. Our shrink wrap won't start to break down until it is in an anaerobic environment like a landfill.

Is bioaqualife™ shrink wrap film more expensive than traditional shrink wrap?

Yes, the cost of bioaqualife™ is slightly more expensive than traditional shrink wrap film. Our prices for installation are competitive with other shrink wrap installers in the area.

Is bioaqualife™ biodegradable shrink wrap film recyclable?

Yes, bioaqualife™ shrink wrap is recyclable and biodegradable.

Other than the biodegradable aspect, how does bioaqualife™ shrink wrap compare to traditional shrink wrap?

The shrink wrap film from bioaqualife™ that we use is stronger and thicker than the traditional shrink wrap most installers and marinas use to shrink wrap boats and patio furniture over the winter. It also shrinks more and self-tacks to itself more easily than traditional shrink wrap. Collectively, these features reduce the likelihood of having a problem with the wrap over the winter. It also saves us time installing, which allows us to be competitive on price even though we use a more expensive material.

Is bioaqualife™ shrink wrap film truly biodegradable?

Yes, bioaqualife™ shrink wrap is truly biodegradable in a landfill environment – where 91% of all plastic waste will end up. The material from bioaqualife™ includes a proprietary organic additive target microorganisms capable of processing petroleum molecules. It has been tested using ASTM D5511 standards to ensure that it is truly biodegrade in a landfill.

I'm an installer and I would like to switch to using biodegradable shrink wrap. How can I do so?

You can find contact and distribution information for bioaqualife™ on their website. You can also reach out to us and we'll happily put you in contact with their team.
